Outcamp Rubber Coated Neodymium Magnets with M8 Thread | 66mm & 88mm | 2-Pack

OC-MAG-66

Size: 66mm

Strong rubber-coated magnets with a stainless M8 thread

Neodymium pot magnets with a tough rubber coating and a stainless steel M8 female thread in the centre. Stick one to any steel surface — ute tray, canopy, trailer, toolbox or workshop bench — then bolt a bracket, hook, tie-down point or mount straight into the thread. No drilling, and no marks left behind.

  • Rubber coated — grips the surface and won't scratch paint or powdercoat
  • M8 female thread — bolt brackets, hooks and mounts directly into the magnet
  • Strong — 66mm is rated to 20kg, the 88mm to 40kg on clean flat steel
  • Weather resistant — sealed rubber body, happy on a vehicle in the weather
  • Sold in pairs — two magnets of the one size per pack

Pull force (supplier rated) 20kg 40kg
Weight each 97g 175g
Thread M8 female M8 female

Price $12 $14

Both sizes take the same M8 bolt, so a bracket you make for one will fit the other. Go the 88mm if you're holding something with a bit of weight or catching wind — a mast, an awning bracket, a light bar. The 66mm is the better pick for small brackets, hooks, cable runs and anything inside the vehicle.

What people use them for

Custom Starlink brackets

Bolt your own bracket straight into the M8 thread and stick it to a steel roof, tray, canopy or bonnet. No drilling, no holes left behind, and you can shift it between vehicles or take it off when you're not travelling. Handy if you're building a one-off mount for a Mini or want a second mounting position that isn't permanent.

4x4 and touring

  • Mounting accessory plates, light brackets, aerial bases and camera arms
  • Adding a hook or tie-down point to a tray side or canopy for straps, bags and gear
  • Holding a rubbish bag, towel or cable run exactly where you need it
  • Moving mounts between vehicles without drilling

Trade and workshop

  • Hooks for securing tools and gear in utes, trailers and vans
  • Hanging cords, hoses and cable runs off steel frames and racks
  • Temporary mounting on steel benches, hoists and machinery where you can't drill

Worth knowing

  • Pull force is measured on clean, flat, thick steel. Paint, dirt, rust, curved panels and thin sheet all reduce it — expect less on a curved guard or a thin panel than on a tray floor.
  • Rubber coating adds grip and protects paint, but it does cost some holding power compared with a bare magnet face.
  • Bolts are not included — you supply the M8 bolt or stud for your bracket.
  • These are strong magnets. Keep them away from pacemakers, credit cards and electronics, and mind your fingers when two snap together.
