Works on any ferromagnetic (steel) surface including painted, powder-coated, and galvanised steel. Not compatible with aluminium, stainless steel, fibreglass, or plastic surfaces. Pull force is rated on 10mm thick steel — thinner material or vertical mounting will reduce holding strength (approximately 30% on vertical surfaces).
