Switch the dish from the front seat

A 30A DC relay with two keyring remotes. Wire it between your 12V feed and the load, and you can turn the Starlink Mini on or off without climbing into the back or reaching under the dash.

It handles 8 to 86 volts DC, so it suits a 12V vehicle system, a 24V truck or a 48V setup. The relay is rated to 30 amps, which is far more than a Starlink Mini draws, so it also runs fridges, camp lights, compressors and work lights.

Why it suits a 4x4

• No cable run to the dash. The relay lives near the battery or fuse panel; the remote goes on your keys.
• Two remotes included, with batteries already fitted. Keep one on the keyring and one in the glovebox.
• Panel-mount tabs let you screw it to a battery box, drawer or firewall.

Wiring

Terminals 1 and 2 take the supply from the battery or fuse panel. Terminals 3 and 4 feed the load. Fit an inline fuse rated to the load, not to the relay's maximum.

Two things to know

This is a DC switch. Do not connect it to mains power. And 30A is the relay's ceiling, not a target: size your fuse to the appliance, so a fault trips the fuse rather than the relay.
