The PeakDo Power Dock for Starlink Mini is a compact and practical power solution designed to run your Starlink Mini using Makita 18V lithium batteries. It is ideal for camping, caravan travel, four-wheel drive touring, and off-grid holidays where access to 240V power is limited or unavailable.
By using Makita batteries that many travellers already own, the Power Dock eliminates the need for bulky generators or large portable power stations. It provides a clean, modular approach to off-grid internet power while keeping your setup lightweight and easy to manage.
This unit can be powered by one to four Makita 18V batteries, allowing you to scale runtime based on your needs. A single battery is suitable for short sessions or quick stops, while multiple batteries increase total capacity for longer stays or higher data usage.
This flexibility makes the Power Dock well suited to caravans, 4x4 drawer systems, and compact camping setups where efficient use of space and existing gear is important.
Each Makita 18V 6Ah battery holds approximately 108Wh of energy. With four batteries installed, the system provides around 432Wh of total capacity. Based on typical Starlink Mini power usage, the following runtime estimates can be expected:
Light use (around 20W): approximately 18–20 hours
Typical mixed use (around 30W): approximately 12–14 hours
Heavier use or streaming (35–40W): approximately 10–12 hours
Actual runtime will vary depending on signal conditions, weather, battery condition and data usage. These figures are provided as a guide for planning off-grid use.
The PeakDo Power Dock features a DC 2.1mm output socket designed for Starlink Mini power, along with an XT60 output port for compatible accessories or alternative setups.
Both DC ports provide output only and cannot charge the batteries. Makita batteries must be charged separately using the manufacturer’s approved chargers.
A dedicated power button with an illuminated LED provides simple on/off control and clear visual status, which is particularly useful in low-light camping or caravan environments.
The unit includes Bluetooth connectivity, allowing it to be monitored and controlled via a web-based app on a compatible device. This is useful when the Power Dock is installed in a vehicle, caravan storage area, or drawer system, allowing easy access without physically handling the unit.
The PeakDo Power Dock is well-suited to:
Camping and off-grid holidays
Caravan and motorhome setups
Four-wheel drive and touring vehicles
Remote work and travel connectivity
